Christmas 2012 and sledding fun

Christmas this year was so fun, Claire and Landon loved opening all there presents and were so good at giving there gifts to their cousins.  It is fun when they start to understand what is going on and that it is more then just presents to open and toys to play with.

Christmas morning
Santa sure came to our house, leaving our stockings full
and cookies and carrots eaten, and eggnog gone.  Landon would look at the plate and say, All Gone Santa eat is all gone.
Claire's fun things
Landon's fun toys,

We had a busy Christmas day, we did Christmas at our place and then got ready and headed over to Grandma and Papa Carlson's to celebrate Papa's birthday and then do Christmas there.  Then it was off the the Cooper's for Christmas lunch and presents, games and fun times.

Uncle Chad and Aunt Tara helped Landon open some of his presents.

My sister came in town a few days after Christmas and we had to go and do some sledding Claire would walk up and down the hill and almost got hit before she tried it a few times, then went and wandered around, she likes to try things, but has to scope it out first and then she ends up not always liking it, to much for this little girl
Landon on the other hand LOVED it and went down with however would take him, and I sent him with a few people and then dared it down the hill myself with him, even though I am so sure that is against the rules.

Uncle Kevin, he took Cohen (his son) and Landon down quite a few times, and then had to bring the little boys right back up for some more fun, thanks Kev!!
Heather also went with Landon a few times and then had to carefully bring him back up, he wanted to come up on his own, but he kept sliding back down.  Found out soon that he really did need some help.

Every other year at the studio that we have started Claire at for dance, does there Christmas concert in the studio and then a big concert in the spring at the High School. We got to start out small and have her in the studio, which for Claire I think was a probably better then a big stage and lots of people. Her Daddy and I got to come and watch.

They showed up what they have been learning.

she has great arms in this picture.
love her straight arms and pointed toe
nice leap, and love the tongue.   I have noticed while watching Claire at parent watch days that she sticks her tongue out a lot when she is concentrating and that she puts her hands in her mouth when she is nervous about something.
This is during her dance and she got to be partnered with her "best friend" Claire makes a new best friend every where we go, she is coming more and more out of her shell, and I love to watch it.
the cute girls in her class
We have been so lucky that we get to have Miss Sara as Claire's teacher, not only is she the nicest teacher ever.  She sits behind us in church and exercises with me every morning, so Claire gets to see her a lot.  I also think she is one of the reasons she loves dance so much.  I was nervous about Claire and dance and how shy she is, but she goes to dance so happy and excited to go and she comes home even happier.
The pose they start there dance with, it is so hard for Claire to keep her eyes closed, but she did it, with very little peeking.
and here is there dance, we love to watch it over and over and she tells me that she is going to fall every time.
