Taylorsville 5k Fun Run

On Saturday we ran in the Taylorsville Dayzz 5k Fun Run. My SIL Heather was the one that got me to do it. She is a great recruiter so got a few others to join as well.

Talking before the race, Heather, Heather's sister and some ladies Heather got to join in the fun, and My Mom and Claire. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking pictures and for watching Claire since we don't have a a running stroller. we left her with them.

There was a picture that was blank and my Dad said that he missed Brandon and I coming in. It was of someone else.
Brandon and I after the race. He was nice to run with me the whole time, but he came in just ahead of me. We ran in 31:59. Hopefully I can get that down to 30:00 or under someday on a course. It was great fun.

Claire has a perch, this is were we find her when she has woken up.

This is were to gets to fast when we come to get her, although she is usually smiling. The camera is just way to fascinating, so she has her big eyes on.

This is the pool we got for Claire. She doesn't like the slide yet and she doens't like that when you hook the hose up to the elephant it sprays out his trunk and splashes her. BUT, she loves to be in the water and play.

3 Projects Complete

Three more down a few more to go.


Dress #2 is finished, thanks to my Mom for all of her help with the summer of dresses project.


This skirt used to be a pair of pants, I did this all by myself, I think I made my Mom proud. These pants were too big so I had to take them in, and took off the bottom of the legs and made them the panels. so what seemed like a 100 pins later and sewing until I liked it, we have a skirt.

This project was easy, pair of old pants into a pair of capris.

A Little Catch Up

So I have missed a few MAJOR events, because I didn't have my camera, either in hast to get out of the door or just forgetting. Even after thinking the whole night before while laying in bed, "Don't forget the camera tomorrow", over and over and over again. I still forget it.

Okay Claire is now 9 months (well now 9 1/2 months) old. She is a cutie and we love her.
~She is for the most part very calm and happy, except when she takes pictures and then she just stares at the camera. She has those big eyes and takes everything in.
~She got her two bottom teeth, which didn't take very long, maybe a week of sadness, and a week of extreme sadness, and then there they were.If you look close you can see her teeth, this is the only shot of her mouth, she tends to hide her teeth with her tongue when you want to look at them.


~She had her doctors appointment and she is 28 1/2 inches (90%) 17 lbs 12 oz. (30%) and her head is 17 3/4 (30%).
~She has decided she wants to crawl. So she is getting there. She is so funny, she will get up on her hands and knees pick up both knees and scoot them under her and then shoot herself forward. It that doesn't get her there fast enough she army crawls, or rolls over. Claire would like to teach Yoga. She has Downward Dog mastered.


~She thinks she is funny and rolls away from me when I try to change her, when I bring her to her back she has a huge smile and then starts to giggle.
~She will wave her hands in the air and say "Yea"

She is just a so fun and we love her tons.

Next came Tara's graduation. She has graduated from Pharmacy School, she still needs to take her huge test, but we know she will do well. Getting her DiplomaChad and Tara

A few others that I don't have pictures of are, Traveller got blessed and the big baseball party.
Janae took some pictures of Claire while at Traveller's blessing, (she likes to take pictures of Claire, becuase of her big eyes)
My brother Joey for his birthday every year has a baseball party. We get together eat and then for those who want to play baseball. I took pictures on my SIL's camera so I will have to get them from her, it was fun.

Let's Take a Little Run

While chatting with my SIL on Sunday I told her I would run a 5K with her. Brandon then came in and said he would run it too, then said he would push Claire in her stroller. So on the 27th we will be running in the Taylorsville Dayzz 5K. I think it will be great times.

Twizzler Fun!!

Yesterday was a busy day We started out at church, then Claire and I headed home and she got a little nap and then to a baby Blessing. It was good friends of mine, they were in town for a wedding and while here blessed there baby. He is so handsome, and his little tux was just perfect. Thanks for inviting us Chante' and Jake.

Then we headed over to my parent's house for some food and fun. And I now have 4 Christmas presents almost done, the first part came in the mail and I got them from my sister and now for the second part. Yea I am aware that it is only June 1st but my family has already drawn names for Christmas and are getting ready to send things to Australia if needed.
While at my parents my mom started handing out one piece of licorice to everyone. (to make sure everyone got at least one piece, sounds like we have a lot of children at that house). She handed one to Claire and she LOVED it. Honestly Claire just loves food.

Then we headed over to Brandon's parents to have a little birthday celebration for Tara. Cake, ice cream (which Claire loves) and presents, nothin' beats a good birthday fun. Happy Birthday Tara!!
