Fun Weekend, Babysitting?????

our weekend was fun, and we "babysat", "watched", "hung-out with"...whatever you want to call it, my nephew Avery. Now I use to babysit Avery, but honestly can you babysit an almost 16 year old. That is right folks, you heard it, Avery will be 16 next month, that means dating and driving (YIKES)!!! Avery plays soccer for the High School so Friday night Brandon had school, so Claire and I headed up to Hillcrest High to cheer on Hunter. We met up with my Dad that was already there and it was getting cold. (Avery is the one in Blue and white)

He is quite the soccer player and has made the team for next year as well, Good job Avery!!!
Here Claire and I trying to stay warm, we had to go into the school at the end of the game, it was chilly, but fun. We went to Avery's game on Saturday as well, they are a good team, they fight well.

Okay, I laughed for quite a few minutes, but Brandon's logic was good. So he comes out after getting Claire ready for a wedding reception for an old roommate of mine (congratulations Rachel and Jason), and I asked if he buttoned up her dress, he said I tried, but she is getting hungry. So I go to give her a bottle and notice something. Those buttons are in the front. Now you ask, why is that so funny???

The buttons are suppose to go in the back!!! I inform Brandon of this and start laughing, which Brandon and Avery did not think was funny, and Brandon says "my buttons go in the front, so I thought hers did". Thanks for getting her ready though I appreciate it muchly!!!
My Mom is helping me make dresses and this in the first one done, I think it turned out well. I post the others when they get done.
AND I got this in the mail on Saturday, It is a birthday present from my sister Stacy. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. She is a digital scrapbook, and a good one I might add, so she did the background, with a real four leaf clover on it, I love it.

After 25 years...

My momma and pappa's baby can finally rent a car!!!!

I want to thank everyone for there birthday wishes and thoughts throughout the day. I really appreciate it.

My birthday was a good one, I went to lunch with my Mom and then Claire and I hung out unto my in-laws came over for presents and cake and ice cream. When Brandon got home from school I opened presents from him and Claire. We are going out for dinner on Wednesday, yummy yummy. Thank you so much for the scrapbook stuff, clothes, shoes and purse. The CD, gift card, and LEGO Batman ( I really enjoy the LEGO games, they are so fun.

Got Peas???

Well, it has been a while, I will fill in what is missing, (which is not much). Claire is now 6 MONTHS OLD can you believe it? I can't. She is getting so big!! When I say big, I mean tall, like her papa. We went in last week for shots and updates, so here they are
weight: 15 lbs 11 oz. 40%
height: 26.5 inches 76%
head: 42 centimeters 40%

The doctor was glad she slowed down on her weight, she doubled her weight from 2 months to 4 and was in the 75 to 90% if she had continued to grow as she was she would have been off the charts this time. Amazing how she started at 5 lbs. 7 oz. and now is where she should be. Now she is just staying tall, which is fine. I asked about her heart, she said it sounded really good and that at 9 months she will be looking forward to an update from the cardiologist. We have to got back to him at PCMC in May. Hopefully we wont have to have an ultrasound done of her heart, it takes 45 minutes to an hour and I have to keep her as still as possible, if you know my little one, she doesn't hold still EVER, even when she sleeps.

at six months Claire as learned a lot and I quite like this age so far. She is sitting well, (we have been practicing a lot this week).
She holds her own bottle, which is nice.
She has started getting cuddly when she is really tired, she will lay her head down on her shoulder or chest and just sit there for a little while, and once in a blue moon she falls asleep there too.
She sleeps through the night, and has since month 3.
She has decided to "forget" how to roll over, but has started to scoot on her back and front.
She has started baby food, and doesn't hate it, but doesn't love it, She does like that we are making offerings to her mouth, she loves to suck and chop on anything and everything.
Claire loves her DADDY more than anything. Last week we saw him Monday all day, he was home from work that day, then Tuesday night after work and school and then again on Friday night. So what happened on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Well Claire slept each day 3 one hour naps and then was so exhausted by bed time she was dead to the world, as soon as she saw her dad on Friday night her sleeping habits during the day went back to normal, for a that little while I thought she was getting some teeth, but nope just missing daddy time.
