all those pounds must come off!

I really need to get this weight off from this baby. I do not like being as big as I am and it makes me a little bit sad that I worked so hard to get to where I was before and ended up so big after. I always seem to have had an issue with weight. I am the biggest of my sisters always have been and always will be, (even at my smallest I can't beat my sisters). I have been told I hide my weight well, which may be a compliment, but who really wants to hear, you are big, but you can't really tell.


I have tried to get back to the gym at 5:00 a.ms but until the little guy sleeps all the way through the night it is not an option at the moment.

I am doing Bob Harper's pure burn super strength video, (the blue one below) and really want to try his Cardio one (the green one) And believe you me they are brutal, and I love it.
This program is what I asked for, for Christmas!! This one is brutal as well, and as you can guess I love it also!!


at my post par tom check up I was at a weight I have never said I would let myself be at, and there I was. I was in shock, a little depressed about it and wanting to fix it right away. Well reality hit and I realized it wasn't going to be able to fix it as fast as I wanted.

At that appointment I was 37 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight and 52 pounds away from goal weight.

I needed to fix it. I started eating smaller meals and stopped eating and drinking sugary things for a week and also in that week did Bob's video 3 times. I Lost 7 pounds in a week just from that.

So as of today I have 30 pounds to lose for pre-pregnancy and 45 pounds to goal weight.

My other goal is to run a half marathon this summer, and Brandon told me he would run it with me.

They say it takes as long to take it off as to put it on, so I am hoping to be back to my weight before this baby by summer, yes it took me only 5 months to put on that amount of weight, scary I know!! Wish me luck, I know I can do it, just need a cute and cuddly little man to sleep all night, then goodbye L-B-S!!!

2 Months Old

So our little man is already two months old. Hard to believe, it has gone by so fast, too fast.

We headed into the doctor yesterday and found out how he is growing:

23 3/4 inches 75%
11.7 lbs. 45%
head 38 inches 10%

So our little guy is tall and skinny and has a very small head, but he is the cutest and most handsome little guy ever.

So reading over the paper they gave me about 2 month olds and what they should be able to do and eat, I noticed that it said they should be eating every 3 to 4 hours and having about 4 ounces. This little guy can eat and eats every 4 hours and eats 5ounces. He is a bottomless pit and it isn't doing anything to his weight, but to his height. He is going to be just like his daddy, tall and skinny.

So a few things about this little guy:

He loves to smile and almost anything makes him smile, when he smiles he gets so excited that he wiggles and squirms all over the place. (i have a video of him talking and smiling, but I can't get it to upload)

Loves his big sister, and she makes him smile the most

He likes to talk and after he sneezes he always makes a noise like "ohh" it is so cute

he has found his hands and likes to eat them

Loves his binki

When he is a sleep he will turn his head into the crook of your arm and just lay there.

He enjoys tummy time and is really good holding his head up

He loves to see the world

He is starting to love bath time

He is a good sleeper when he wants to be. On a good day we have a little nap in the morning a long nap in the afternoon and an 8-9 hour night. On a bad day, we wake up two times during morning nap, 1 time during afternoon nap and fights sleep for at least three hours at night, then sleeps for 5-6 hours at a time at night. I love our good days and we are getting more of those then bad.

He is so mellow, those of you that know Claire she was a really good baby, this guy is even better, he cries when he is hungry or tired or when I change his diaper and then the rest of the time he smiles and tries to giggle.

nSorry they aren't very good, he moves when he gets excited and well, he was really excited when I was taking these pictures, but you get how handsome he is. We all love him at our place, he is such a joy!!

The new Mr. Potato Head

So on a day that I was out (probably going to the library, I go there a lot on my own so that Claire wont try to take ever book or CD off the shelf) and Brandon was home with the kids. Claire was watching a show (a movie) and was playing with her toys.
Brandon went up stairs to get a drink.



Where was Landon you ask??? He was downstairs chilling, (staring at the lights a I am sure) little did he know that in the minutes daddy was upstairs he would become the newest Mr. Potato head thanks to his big sister trying to play with him.

a few of her favorite things

This little lady is such a joy and her personality is growing and she is getting really funny. She has some very cute favorites in her life and when she talks about them sometimes it makes me laugh how much she loves them.


So here is a list of a few of her favorite things:

CARS (the Disney movie):

She loves MCQUEEN and talks about him and points him out all the time
BUT even more than McQueen she LOVES, LOVES MATER and knows him even when he is dressed as a different Mater character, she walks around the house saying, "Where's Mater?"




TOY STORY 3, but more specifically BUZZ, when we went camping this year she got to pick out her very own camping chair and she choose Buzz. She walks around saying "match Buzz" (watch Buzz) and she has the cutest smile ever and you just can't say no! (okay sometimes I just have to)

Story about McQueen, Mater and Buzz, when all the Christmas Catalogs started coming in, she would take them and look through each one and she found every Buzz, McQueen and Mater in each catalog, and she was fast, she would find some before Brandon and I almost ever page. We sat with her for about 20 minutes as she looked through the Toys R Us ad.

Another favorite is:

SUCKERS:
When ever she asks for a treat about 75% of the time she wants a "shoer" and about 50% of the time I think she is asking for her shoes, but then I remember she had asked for a treat. I have to tell her no about the suckers a lot, but she will gladly go for something else.

SHOES:
She loves shoes and will go to bed in them. Sometimes they are still on in the morning, or times she has taken them off and put them in her basket, other times she has brought all of her shoes to bed with her.

TUB TIME:
She has spent an hour in the tub at a time, playing and talking and recently I have seen her having her fish friends giving each other loves.

HER BROTHER:



She loves this little guy, and having started out ignoring him and anyone holding him, we have grown to daily kisses and hugs, wanting him to go down the slide because it's "fun, slide, come on", asking if he is hungry, telling him, if he is bother her with his crying, "you will sit on chair". Whenever he is awake she comes up to him and puts her hand on his face and says "Hi Baby, Hi" and she finds him so funny, if she is holding him and he starts to move and his hands get her, she starts to giggle! We are glad she loves him so much!

And I can not forget PUPPIES:


If we go anywhere with a puppy she has to pet them and say hello. Sometimes it may not be a great idea, not all puppies are nice, so hopefully she wont ever get bit by one. But she loves that they run with her and play with her.

Halloween 2010

sister and her family back from the land down under + halloween party resumed = fun for all

we headed over to our halloween party, adults only except for the little guy that still needs some watching, (at the same time my mom had all the 14 or so grandkids at her house for a party, is she crazy, a little, but I hear they all had fun) and we had a good time.

and after having the best costume trophy two years in a row I happily passed it on to Scarlett and Rhett (sorry no picture, they rented they costumes from Hale Centre Theatre).

Trick-or-treating was a hit. Claire was a pumpkin princess, even though she wanted to be McQueen from Cars (the costume was for a 6 year old) she was cute. We headed out to get some treats, Daddy came with us for a little bit and then headed home with Landon to pass out treats to those coming to our house. It was cold and a little rainy, but Claire really doesn't mind the rain, it was the cold hands that after an hour I told her we needed to come home, because she couldn't hold her bucket anymore.

First Hair Cut

Well Claire is 2 years old and a couple months and she is finally had her first hair cut. She was really happy when we started, but by the end the treats and fun stuff had run out. I did it myself and just made it all one length. She has really short spots in the front so I just evened them out. You can see how long it was in the front and in the mirror the back, in the first picture.

after we were done and the trimming was done. added a few bangs, because of how weird he hair was growing in the front.


Maybe tomorrow she will let me style it and then it will look a little better. This way it can grow out evenly.

Claire really is in need of some one on one attention since it has been taken away by a certain little guy, so we laid him down for a nap and then headed outside. Claire has never played in the leaves, last year she couldn't even walk at this time so it was a little rough to go out and play in the leaves. So we raked them up, she had a broom but it worked, and then we threw them in the air and at each other and we giggled and yelled and had a great time. I love this girl!!!
