Christmas 2012 and sledding fun

Christmas this year was so fun, Claire and Landon loved opening all there presents and were so good at giving there gifts to their cousins.  It is fun when they start to understand what is going on and that it is more then just presents to open and toys to play with.

Christmas morning
Santa sure came to our house, leaving our stockings full
and cookies and carrots eaten, and eggnog gone.  Landon would look at the plate and say, All Gone Santa eat is all gone.
Claire's fun things
Landon's fun toys,

We had a busy Christmas day, we did Christmas at our place and then got ready and headed over to Grandma and Papa Carlson's to celebrate Papa's birthday and then do Christmas there.  Then it was off the the Cooper's for Christmas lunch and presents, games and fun times.

Uncle Chad and Aunt Tara helped Landon open some of his presents.

My sister came in town a few days after Christmas and we had to go and do some sledding Claire would walk up and down the hill and almost got hit before she tried it a few times, then went and wandered around, she likes to try things, but has to scope it out first and then she ends up not always liking it, to much for this little girl
Landon on the other hand LOVED it and went down with however would take him, and I sent him with a few people and then dared it down the hill myself with him, even though I am so sure that is against the rules.

Carly and Paisley
Madi
Uncle Kevin, he took Cohen (his son) and Landon down quite a few times, and then had to bring the little boys right back up for some more fun, thanks Kev!!
Heather also went with Landon a few times and then had to carefully bring him back up, he wanted to come up on his own, but he kept sliding back down.  Found out soon that he really did need some help.

Every other year at the studio that we have started Claire at for dance, does there Christmas concert in the studio and then a big concert in the spring at the High School. We got to start out small and have her in the studio, which for Claire I think was a probably better then a big stage and lots of people. Her Daddy and I got to come and watch.

They showed up what they have been learning.

she has great arms in this picture.
love her straight arms and pointed toe
nice leap, and love the tongue.   I have noticed while watching Claire at parent watch days that she sticks her tongue out a lot when she is concentrating and that she puts her hands in her mouth when she is nervous about something.
This is during her dance and she got to be partnered with her "best friend" Claire makes a new best friend every where we go, she is coming more and more out of her shell, and I love to watch it.
the cute girls in her class
We have been so lucky that we get to have Miss Sara as Claire's teacher, not only is she the nicest teacher ever.  She sits behind us in church and exercises with me every morning, so Claire gets to see her a lot.  I also think she is one of the reasons she loves dance so much.  I was nervous about Claire and dance and how shy she is, but she goes to dance so happy and excited to go and she comes home even happier.
The pose they start there dance with, it is so hard for Claire to keep her eyes closed, but she did it, with very little peeking.
and here is there dance, we love to watch it over and over and she tells me that she is going to fall every time.

baby bump #3

Since I started out smaller before this pregnancy then I have been before I thought I would show faster, it seems everything is still going in order, abs: no longer tight, love handles back with lots of love and then the tummy starts to come out.  this part is rough for me in general, because I don't look pregnant yet, just a little chubby, but feeling the baby move, makes it all better and so worth it.

One of my favorite places to be when pregnant is in the Temple, I love how active my babies become when in that scared and holy House of  the Lord, and we were there just the other day with this baby, I just begun feeling this baby, but I felt the movements more during that short stay in the  House of the Lord, amazing how close that veil is to these precious babies we get to bring into the world!

I am so thrilled to be having this opportunity to carry and help this little baby grow.

adding a new addition

We are so excited to add a new baby to our family!
My due date is May 17th, but seeing as I have come early with both other kids we can hope a little earlier.  Claire is excited to have another baby in the house and is understanding kind of what is going to happen when this baby comes.  The baby will sleep in the crib, meaning her and Landon will be sharing a room, (which they have been doing since the end of the summer, it was the only way I could keep Landon in his room at night/nap times), my tummy is going to get big and she thinks that it is going to be a girl baby.  I told her that last one might be a boy baby, but she really wants a sister.  Landon points at his tummy and says baby, then points at my tummy and says baby, I think he will be a VERY hands on big brother.

When we told both of our families I ended up being 15 weeks, and this pregnancy seems to be going by quickly, hard to think that in 5 short weeks I will be half way, can't wait to start this new chapter in our lives!

potty training for the big boy

It is so hard to believe that my sweet little baby boy, is no longer a baby, he talks really well, follows his sister around and can push her buttons then runs away laughing.  He loves to give kisses, even if he says no, kisses mommy, he always gives me one.  When he comes from a different room he always says "hi, mommy" with a small wave and a small, and sometimes if I am lucky a hug.  If I get hurt he asks if I am okay and then kisses the spot better.

He NEVER stops moving, he is always singing into whatever object that looks like a microphone, and this kid LOVES his sister.  You might not see it at first, but he follows her around and he watches her for cues on what to do next, and if she starts laughing he laughs right a long with her.

He is funny and can get us laughing really fast.  He always laughs at himself, sometimes I find him just laughing. What I love most about my day is when Claire and Landon laugh together, it is so funny to watch them feed off of each other.

Well this crazy kid is old enough to start learning to use the potty, he hasn't done real well, but he is getting idea, day one was better than day 2, but day 2 was different then day 1 in the fact that he would pee in his underwear and then come and tell me, he didn't do that on day 1.  Although he isn't actually peeing in the potty he always sits on it when I ask him too.

Really, this is the cutest face ever, he makes this face and then he starts to laugh!  Love this kid, he is getting so big, he will do awesome at this big step I know it!

Halloween

Halloween was fun this year, because Landon was old enough to understand and have fun with it.  Claire did so good when we were trick-or-treating to remember to say trick-or-treat, which at first she told me she wasn't going to do, she got sucked into the spirit of the holiday.   It was a warm night, not jacket needed, just a costume, a smile and a bucket full of candy.

my most handsome pirate and
My big girl Cinderella, prettiest princess out there I think
and the pumpkins that there Daddy carved for them, he is so great to work so hard on there pumpkins, he is a great Daddy!
