Well the day has come!

We headed into the doctor today to find out if we have a little sister or a little brother.

Did I mention that it only took TWO days to get Claire off her binki, she does great with out it and after one day of lots of tears, we only have the occasional tear now.

Did I also mention that my sister and her family will be here in ONE week to STAY from Australia. They were able to get a job and are coming home.

Did I also mention that Brandon graduates with his MBA next week. I am so proud of him and know he is glad to be done with school. Also his brother graduates the same day, it will be busy, but a great day. Congrats Chad!!

Did I also mention that we went to the doctor and found out what we are having. That Brandon was positive our babe was one thing and found out it was the other. That every time he said Claire can you have a "tickle fight" with your little ______. I would always say or _________.

So those that voted boy, good for you, we are excited to have a boy!

getting rid of a friend

Our friend is a binki (as Claire calls it niki). I have been wanting to get rid of it for a while. When she turned one it was only when she was sleeping. She would hand me or Brandon her binki after she woke up and we would put it away. Then she started getting smart. She would come out of her room with it and come and lay in our bed and then she could keep it. She would get sad and go and get her blankies and then want her binki and rest her head on your shoulder for less than two minutes and then run away with it.

Basically it was getting harder and harder to keep her away from it. As with the picture below. We don't have anything big going on this week, so what a perfect time to get rid of it.

So I sat on her bed as we got ready to take naps and told her she wouldn't have her binki, and she was fine until I walked out and closed the door. She cried for an hour. (mind you I think crying is a good thing sometimes, getting rid of a binki is one of those times) Then she feel asleep for a half hour and woke up. I went in and laid her back down told her she needed more sleep and she went back to sleep for 2 hours. Success!!! So bed time came I laid her down left and she only cried for 20 minutes, but didn't fall asleep for a little while later, but she did it!!!

It takes three days to break a habit, I will see how it goes the rest of the week, she will do great I am sure of it.

Game Answer

Well it is a few minutes early, but everyone is a little antsy, and they have been texting me and wanting to know MORE. (All guesses have been added to the comments in the last post.) What more do you need then fun Easter filled pictures though. Claire had so much candy we were unsure if she remembered what REAL food was.

Although she had TOO much candy this weekend that is the INCORRECT answer. Feel free to take another look.

We are expecting another baby, and here are the details you have all been waiting for:


I am due October 11
putting me at 13 1/2 weeks
and we find out in 3 weeks whether it is a boy or girl (my doctor is so nice and we get to find out at 16 weeks instead of 20) There will be a survey on the right in the next few days asking if you think boy or girl
Next is that I have been fine, just tired, not to sick, same as with Claire

I think I got it all so far.
