St. Patrick's Day

Well my favorite holiday is coming up so fast. I really love St. Patrick's Day, not just because my birthday is the day before, (every year), (yes St. Patrick's Day is always the same date every single year, it never changes, it is like Christmas or the 4Th of July, or the 24Th of July). I love the leprechauns that get to come out and play and leave pots of gold and the end of rainbows. I had teacher in elementary that for English we wrote poems and stories and made them into books. Well for this holiday we came into the classroom to footprints on desks and gold and green, we got to make up our own leprechauns with names and they got to be with us all day. I named my friend, appropriately enough "Lucky". I wrote about him and have the book still.

Later in life my future husband (at the time) for my birthday took me on a hunt for gold, starting with a leprechaun (named Patrick)to guide the way with clues, going from each color of the rainbow and a new leprechaun until we found the pot of gold at the end of my new found rainbow.

And I just got an e-mail from my SIL with this new picture to put a top my blog, thanks Janae I really do love it. you are the best!!!!!

a package, and almost over

Well, I looked out the window and what did I see? The mailman (well women), so Claire and I took a little trip out to the box to see what was there, maybe the normal bills, mail for previous owners or current resident, a wedding announcement or shower invite, or maybe just some ads. Well thursday was a different mail day, we received a package in the mail all the way from "the land down under". My sister and her family sent us a package, a cute shirt for Claire, that read "How did I get so cute? (I think it was mummy!)" and some jewelery for me. We love, love, love the package, so much more fun then everything else we get, thanks so much, we loved it!!!


Claire is almost over, but not quite, she reaches for something, usually my water and then stretches...

...and stretches a little bit farther, knocks over the water bottle...

...comes back to her back and then stares at me and we start all over again.

Oh the Joys...

...of Roommates!!!

After a few months of trying to get together, we finally managed it. These are my roommates from Utah State, the only roommates I have had other than family. We had good fun that year, and we have remained friends through out the years. I went to high school with Michelle and Val, and met everyone else up there. We have all done different things and are at different places in our lives. We have a baby, we have a returned missionary, 4 are married, 1 engaged, a kindergarten teacher, working in hospitals, and lots of other things going on. It was way fun to get together, thanks so much for coming to the "west side".
