Glad to be Home Owners!!!

We have been home owners for one year already. At this time last year, we were signing our lives away in a beautiful new home, getting boxes, furniture and other things packed into a moving van and clearing out an apartment with many memories attached.
We lived in our apartment for a little over 2 1/2 years. We had crazy neighbors, some that got kicked out, some that wanted to move and some that moved in without informing the landlords. We had every meal fish and curry eaters making everything smell. We had drunks, drug dealers and abusers that had the police at there doors almost monthly, sometimes more. We had a 55 year old toy collector with no job or car that Brandon took around monthly to get food and you guessed it toys, magazines and baseball cards. He stayed up at night and slept during the day and gave us grief. But all in all we loved it there and enjoyed our ward family, and made great friends and wouldn't change it for the world.

Moving into our house was a change, no loud music from upstairs, no fish or curry smell. No strange unwelcome visitors wondering if we had seen the neighbors. No more asking to use the phone, when someone got locked out. No more walking through parties or smoking spots, and no more hearing the drunk neighbors yell at each other at 2 in the afternoon.

We have had our share of things happen in the new house but have had a great year here. We have great neighbors, a great ward, closer to family and we got to bring Claire into the world. We love it here and can't wait to spend many more wonderful years here.

Memorial Day Weekend

Well, it was the first Delta trip of the season. It was also Claire's first time down as well. She did really well away from home. She slept in the same room as us, and I quite like her in a different room. New surroundings do crazy things to her. Anywho, we got to play in the water on Memorial Day, it was the nicest of the days we were there.

I would rather play with them, then actually use them!

Just me and my Daddy (dada as she calls him)

She was okay sitting here until a jet ski came by and the waves started getting her.

Having a great time in the water
They bought a new tube, the old one had it's last ride last summer. It was a lot of fun, and well I fell out. First time for that to happen, and I must tell you I am terrified of fish swimming around me and nibbling at my toes. first thought was get me out of the water there are fish.
Here we are in the brand spankin' new tube

On the Run

We had a busy weekend, going from one place and then the next all weekend long. It was fun and kept us busy. (by the way this is post #2 for the day, family pictures are down below)

It started Thursday, I went to Chelsea's dance concert, Brandon and Claire stayed home because Claire didn't like the clapping and cheering at last weeks concert, but she did LOVE the music, so we decided to keep her home this time. I have besides Chelsea 6 girls from my ward that dance there 4 of them are in Achievement Days with me. They all did so well, I loved there dances. Mommy and Daughter

good work kiddo, Love Ya

Friday I got ready for our Acheivement Day activity, hung out with the girls, then went to the cardiologist after that. They did an EKG of her heart and then the DR. came and talked to us about what he saw. He said that her heart is about the same or better then the last time we were there. That is good news, he says she is doing well, and that he doesn't want to see us again for a year. Then after that just every few years, he just wants to check on her as she grows to see how everything is going.
Also they weigh her and measure her and she is 17.2 lbs and a 28 inches. Still as tall as ever. Everything went well, sigh of relief. Til next year.

After that we went to dinner at the Olive Garden (YUMMY), and then headed over to my brother's house for a night of games.

Saturday, we went to my nephew Austin's soccer game headed over to a piano recital for another nephew and then onto another soccer game.

Sunday was church and we just went to my parents house for "birthday dinner" which isn't really birthday dinner in May. Out of my side of the family we have NO may birthdays, hard to believe with over 30 or us, but we skip right over it. (Brandon's side has one, and it is coming up soon :) )

Fun weekend!! Hope yours was great as well!

8 Months, Family Pictures and Weighed Down!

Well Claire turned 8 months last weekend! I am a little slow, but will post about it now.

She gets up on her knees and ends up pushing herself backwards

She has to sleep with a pillow (she got sick a few months ago and I had to prop her up on a pillow and blanket to help her breathe. I took everything out to wash it and she wouldn't fall asleep. Put it back and she magically would) She is goofy

She now has two itty bitty teeth, and boy am I glad that is over for now, My happy girl is back. Mind you Claire is usually happy, and did very well with getting teeth, just cried more and slept less. Nights were a little tough, but now we have no bumps, but razors.

She loves babies and talks with them, more like screams at them.

Claire has started to think she is kind of funny, and will laugh at herself

AND, we go to the Cardiologist tomorrow, more to come on the check-up.

We also got family pictures taken:
My SIL took pictures for us again, it was fun to get out and get them done and we really appreciate her doing them for us. THANKS JANAE. Go here and Here for a look.

How I felt when I started!!!!!

As for being weighed down, I have reached prepregnancy weight that is 17 pounds down. It has been hard and long to get this off, when we lived in our apartment, I didn't exercise much at all, then when I got pregnant I was 15 pounds heavier then I ever had been, now I am going to work this 15 pounds off and keep if off. All though my sister says, you get to be were you want to be and then you have to start all over again. BUT, Now I am off to get down to goal weight. Only 15 more pounds to go, YAHOO!! How I am beginning to feel!!!
