Sugar, Shoes and everything nice

Two of Landon's loves at this moment are Sugar and Shoes, I think the favorite days for Landon are the days that he gets to wear a diaper and shoes and eat sugar all day. We were making cookies one day and I realized I had never let this little guy experience licking the frosting off the spatula.  he was to excited and when Landon gets excited he bounces up and down and shakes and just can't stop smiling, mind you he can't smile and lick at the same time.

this picture is priceless, I asked him if he liked it and this is the face i got.  It says  "are you kidding me, you haven't given me frosting on a spatula before?"
Landon loves shoes, it does not matter the shoes, this day it was his sister's shoes.
These red shoes are Claire's "dance shoes" and they are my least favorite shoes that Claire owns, simply because she wears them with anything, and she lets me pick her shoes and then she will have taken those ones off to wear these red ones.  I draw the line at wearing then to church unless they match.  I am surprised that he got these ones on, Claire is very protective of these shoes.

We mastered the potty

Using the potty for this little lady was not easy for her, and to be honest for any of us involved. I tried to be understanding with her when she had an accident when underneath I was so frustrated that maybe I was not helping but hindering her progress and that that is why it took a year or so to get her to be fully potty trained.

Her and I had a very hard week, a really hard week and I just didn't want to be around her, mostly because it seemed like every time I turned around I was changing clothes, cleaning up spots on the floor, washing clothes and sheets and mostly just wanted to get her to have that light bulb click. After that hard week she did get it. It seemed like it was second-nature something she had been doing forever. Even with her constipation issues she was telling me every time she had to go to the bathroom and finally made it 20 days without an accident.

Here is her potty chart that I made for her to inspire her, it didn't seem to matter until after that week, and then she was excited everyday to move it. It you look close you can see the little Mater magnet made it to the big Mater!
Family Home Evening that night was dedicated to our little lady.  So we got to open her Mater bubble machine and she played and played all night, she even shared a little with her brother, not much, but can you blame her.

We are so proud of you sweet girl!!!
