The Big Move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay this is the old house, boxes everywhere, well actually just in the garage and the living room and the kitchen, everything got moved from the rooms and moved to the upstairs or downstairs, depending which stairs you are coming from. The few boxes in the purple room are mine. we don't have enough room for all of my stuff yet, so since Travis and Janae are still in that house they decided to let it stay. If you need a place to sit you mght just need to sit on the floor. As we waited for the trailers to get back we found ourselves on the kitchen floor. The boys found Robert's old metal detector and that was fun until all you could hear was "beep beep beep beep beep beep beep..." you get the picture. So they put it back away. Not sure if it got put back under the stairs in the old house or packed somewhere for the new house.

Food storage gone, and it was a lot of food storage. Dad's work room cleaned out, by him of course.

Yes I said play room. It is off of the family room downstairs and that is where all the movies, toys, kids books and children will play. Which means,if you see the air hockey table, that it is in use again, it is not a storage table anymore.

Front room, look at that nice fireplace and the mirror if you look really close was left by the previous owner also the drapes which I hope mom keeps cuz they are really pretty. Also did you notice, those of you that have seen the "OLD" couches taht were pretty flowers, THEY ARE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOO they got new ones. And they didn't just put them downstairs they took them away.

Kitchen photos. A little italy, (Mom's says that will be removed sometimes). The hole above the sink so you can look at the people in the front room. Also I recomend throwing things through the hole at who ever walks by and then ducking really fast. The open kitchen, lots more shelves, drawers and room. Dining area, they now need to keep the leafs in the table or it looks to small.

Okay I need to tell a funny story about my Dad. Dera me and my Mom went and took a load over to the new house and we had a box that went in the coat closet, (which is next the front door.) so Dera opened the closet and asked if she wanted all the coats that were on the floor hung up on hangers. Then she looked at the THREE coats that were hung up and they all belonged to my Dad. Then Dera started to pick up the coats and they were all ON hangers. We laughed and laughed. It was funny.

Moved!!!! and Settled????

Well we got my parents moved last friday and Travis and Janae moved Saturday. The Cooper's have become a moving company. With lots of trailors, cars, legs, and arms, we got everything moved in. Settled is another story, when we left my mom and dad's new house they had boxes everywhere, I will get pictures on hopefully within the next few days. The kitchen looked good, cuz you need food to live. I have to say (sorry mom and dad), but it was a lot easier to move Travis and Janae, they have less stuff, a lot less stuff. Pictures to come, of the packed up old house and the stuffed in new house. I love the new house, I am excited for them.

Kids, will be kids, if you let them!!!

Okay, so some of you know that I work at an elementary school in grades 1 through 3. This adventure is from 3rd grade today. We have a boy in that class that is an island and has been since the second week of school. He is a nice kid, when he wants to be. The biggest problem is that he is super loud and likes to fight. So if you ask a question and he knows the answer he will shout it out no matter how many times you ask him to raise his hand. It is getting better. So the other day he was fighting at recess and was sent to the AC room. No that is not the air conditioning room, or the acme crime room. It is the alternative classroom, where you go when you get in trouble, like detention. So he was there and on his way back to take the IOWA test, and I found him crying in the hallway. (bytheway he cries when he knows or thinks he is in trouble.) I asked him what was wrong and he told me his story, which was funny and sad at the same time. He lost something in the AC room and he couldn't get it out. This something was a spacer that belongs in his mouth, so imagine if you will, a little third grader crying and opening his mouth pointing to where it goes and he is still talking to me. So I said to him okay let me understand you lost your spacer in the AC room and he said yeah and I put it in something and it wont come back out. So I said okay I will go and talk to the teacher in there and see what we can do. Then he starts crying again and says, the Dentist is going to be so mad at me, and my mom and dad are going to be mad at me. (he comes from a family that if he gets in trouble, he gets in trouble. That is the sad moment in this story.) So I walk down there and ask what happened, becuase I can only have understand a child with his finger in his mouth and pointing to where it goes talking and crying all at the same time. So she said he stuck it in the white board. Okay before think, Julie you are crazy you can't put things "in" the white board I will explain. Some white boards have two trays to put the markers and erasers and other things on. The have some space between them so you can easily get things from both trays. Well the board in the AC rooom has no space between those two trays except on the very end, where our dear friend stuck it in as far as his fingers could reach. Therefore ending in the crying later. So do you wondering how this story ends. He goes home that night, comes back and becuase he was fighting has to go back to the AC room for all recesses for a week, so he has a lot of time to think of what to do. He always carries a key around his neck and he reach in with his key and pushed hard and it came out. Mind you he stuck it straight back in his mouth, but that is a tale for another day.

Be Prepared

Well here we are again at Donuts Falls. This time Brandon and I went with Tara and Chad and Shannon. It was good times. I learned a few key items on this short trip. Chad taught me to always be prepared. He had everything you would need for a hike of any kind. I also learned (again) that with Brandon near water I should always be prepared to swim. I should be prepared with a camera to take pictures and last I learned that people really do follow the leader. Well this fun little trip was a blast. We enjoyed the time together and the beauty of the mountains. P.S. The pciture that you can on;y see Chad in is really Brandon he is about to "dive" into the water. I liked the picture, but on my camera it looked fine and on here it does not. Oh well. Chad and Brandon decided that it would be great to go all the way up the falls, so that is how I got some of the pictures.

Oh the Memories!!!

Well, I just thought I should share a little story. Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess and... oh wait not that kind of story. This one is a true story, one of laughter, tears crisis and a lot of joy. It all started when my parents moved into a new house 28 years ago. Joey was two and Travis and I were not yet in the world. It was a beautiful new house and it was theirs and was ready to be worn in. There were children that ran away, and always seemed to come back. Stacy in a tree and falling on Robert, Stacy I understand did not see Robert and that he appeared out of no where, but Robert says for sure she saw him before she jumped. Boys being boys and trying out a pully system on the swing set, which ended in a huge bucket full of sand and rocks to fall on the head of Joey. The boys digging large holes in the sand box and telling little me to get in the hole, after getting in the hole covering it with a board that was to heavy for me to push off. Stacy laughing so hard at almost every meal that she would just get "the look" from my Dad and went straight to her room where she had to stay until she could stop laughing, which took a few trips up and down the stairs. Cars totaled, dishes washed, beds made, laundry done, games played, high school dances, graduation, college moves and many more great things. Many things broken and then fixed and then broken again. Chores to do, at crazy hours, and beans, strawberries and many other garden items picked and canned, weeds pulled and flowers planted. Two wedding receptions, seven children married to 7 amazing spouses and 18 grandchildren later we come to the end of a house that I have always known. My parents will be moving into a house that will be better to live in as my parents get older and there family gets bigger and bigger. A place that will have just as many memories as the old house plus some. They will be moving to West Jordan in a few weeks. My Dad broke the news to some of the ward on Sunday and it spread like wild fire that the Coopers were leaving. My Dad being a memeber of the Bishopric announced at the end of ward council that they would be leaving, and they said that everyone just looked shocked. Someone came up to my Mom and said that this was unheard. Hey the house will still have Cooper's in it. Travis, Janae, Paisley and Regan will be moving in shortly after my parents move out. So we are all excited about the changes that are about to happen a lot of moving is a good thing. CHANGE IS A GOOD THING!!!!! Congratulations Mom and Dad on the new house!!!

Labor Day Delta Trip

Well we made it back from our trip to Delta, Utah. We got there Friday night. On Saturday the boys went golfing. This pictures of the sun rise was taken by Brandon before they left. Isn't it pretty. If you sit on the porch facing the water you look at the mountains and see this site ever morning if you wake up early enough.




Saturday after the boys got back from golfing they put the boat in and we had some fun activites in the water.

Here is Shannon and Heather in the tube and they didn't get quite the excitement in the tube as you might want, so they flipped around and rode backwards until stopping and changing places with other riders.

Saturday September 1st was also Chad's 23rd birthday. We ordered pizza had cake and then he opened presents. He got a nice shirt and a great blanket from his Grandma and Grandpa, and a Wii from the rest of us. We all went in to get him this gift. It was a hit, everyone was able to play including Kris with her back. Yahoo, she can bowl again, she was so excited.

This is Shannon, me and Heather in our matching pants that we had bought in town. Every trip down to delta requires a shopping trip to town. We go to the few stores they have there and get what we need or just something that we want. These pants all say LOVE on them and Shannon's are gray, mine are blue and Heather's are orange. We are sad that Tara could not make it, but we found pink one's that she would have liked, and we should have gotten them for her. We end with going to the grocery store if we need any food, this time we just needed a birthday cake, so that is all we got.




Sunday we got up and went to church. I misses a picture moment when one of the small planes that fly around a lot in Delta went right on top of the water. I was ready for church and was out with my picture trying to get one of the fish that kept jumping out of the water and started to get hot, so I went in after no success in getting the fish. I went in a a few minutes later there the plane was and I was not ready. It came down grazed the water and took off again. It was great, wish i could have gotten a picture, maybe another time.

After church and saying that Sunday is of course the best day to boat, we went on with the day, we played with the Wii took naps, read and other fun things. Then the rain came. The picture below is of Gramps and Chad putting on the cover for the boat to keep it a little dry. Here is Gram and Kris just talking and relaxing, I think they were just waiting to get there picture taken actually. They might tell you a different story, but I know the real one. "wink, wink" This is my picture of the rain. You might not be able to tell what it is, but my camera is not fast enough to take a picture of the rain drops and have them look like rain drops. The next pictures is just one that I played around with. A flower that was around that I set in the grass and on a table to see what it would look like after the rain.




Here is Gramps working on a project. One of the first things he said to me when I got down there was what holes in the grass and the steps he was working on so that I would not fall and hurt myself. Thanks Gramps for the warning!!

This picture is great, if you look closely Shannon's leg is in the air and is leaning really close to the edge of her sit. Seconds of this picture being taken she falls out, I watch her in slow motion as she basically rolls backwards out of the tube. It was quite the site, and fun for her.

This is Shannon skiing, she did great she fell a few times, but got up on the first try everytime. This is also the first time I have ever seen her ski. YAHOO Shannon good work kid!!

This is Shannon and Heather. "Look Ma, no hands" They tried to see how long they could go without hands. Shannon did good, but Heather was holding on over this big wave.

After the fun in the sun and the water. A few sun burns and pictures to last a lifetime, the boys took the dock out and the boat out and we said good-bye to Delta until next summer. All in all it was a great weekend. We missed Tara and can't wait to have her down with us next year a lot.
